What is ASiteForLove?

ASiteForLove is a site for Chat/Friendship and Dating exclusively for men and women over 21 in London.

How do I change my email address or password?

You can change your email address on the "edit your profile" page. Here you can change some other information including search preferences, address and other preferences about your daily routines, habits, hobbies etc.

After you've made your changes, click "Save" at the bottom of the page to save.

How do I use Live Chat?

This application is a faster way of communicating with other members of the site who are online. By clicking on Live Chat you will see in the top right hand corner who has also clicked on to Chat. You can either join in a chat session in any of the rooms, or if you would like a Private Chat just select the member online and click on Private. You can then have a private instant messenger/chat with that member for as long as you like.

When someone emails me, where does the email go and how do I respond?

When a member sends you a message, it goes straight into your message Inbox. We then send an email to your personal email address to let you know that it's there.

To read the message, simply login to the site and go to your Inbox. If you decide to write back, simply click "reply", write your own message and send. Your message will go straight into the member's Inbox, and we'll let them know it's there with an email to their personal email address.

All communications with other members stay onsite so that you never have to give out any personal information until you feel completely ready. Then when you are, you can exchange phone numbers and even meet in person.

How does "My Matches" works?

My Matches works according to the basic profile and "search preferences" at the bottom of the "edit profile" page.

To update your profile, click "Edit Profile" in Members Panel menu. Be sure to save your changes at the bottom of the screen when you're done.

Try to present yourself in the best light with at least one photo and a snappy, detailed discription of yourself and your interests. The photo is the key, since most people feel more comfortable writing to members they can see. Try to stay positive in the description of yourself and let the real you shine.

To hide your profile, select "No" for the option "Other members can see when I'm online?" on the "Edit Profile" page. Keep in mind, however, that members who are most active on the site keep their profile visible in all places because it increases their chances of connecting with people. And you never know, someone special may be looking for you and never get to find you if your profile is hidden.

What precautions should I take?

We advise that you take time chatting to someone before giving your email address and or telephone number. Ask plenty of questions and of course inform us of any offensive messages. The chat rooms are a very good place to chat with someone and of course you can set up a private chat if you wish.

How safe is it to meet someone?

If you have been chatting to someone that you feel you would like to meet just be sensible. The first meeting should be where there are other people around and somewhere you are familiar with. Tell a friend or family member where you are going and even arrange for them to telephone your mobile at a prearranged time.

Can I be banned from ASiteForLove?

Yes, if any member is in contravention of our terms and conditions then the membership will be cancelled without notice.

Can I report a member?

Yes, if a member is in anyway offensive we would hope that they would be reported to the admin dept. If it is found that any member has offended any other member then their membership will be terminated. So please report any concerns.

My profile has been removed why?

If it comes to out attention that a member has in any contravened our very strict code of conduct, either by an uploaded picture, or the content of an email, or if it is considered the profile is not genuine the pofile will be removed immediately.

If I cancel my Membership can I reactivate it?

Yes if you wish to reactivate your membership just send an email to the admin dept and your profile will be re-activated.
